Live firing range

On a sunny October day the PLANELM went to the live firing range in Jaegerspris to check the shooting skills of the personnel.

Sergeant 1st class Klint (G3) had planned this year’s firing practice and with the assistance of the Danish Support Element it was successfully implemented.

The staff officers and staff helpers were guided through three different exercises of live firing. The aim of the first exercise was to improve the reaction on upcoming targets for each participant. The second live firing exercise took place on a traditional 200 meters range. The participants ran to the firing line to exercise firing with a higher pulse.

After the lunch break the participants continued with firing exercise from a combat position with moving targets from 75 to 360 meters distance. This exercise was made more interesting with smoke grenades and artillery fire.

All exercises went well and all participants are weapon checked for a mission.
