Audit of Financial Statement 2009, part 1

On the 33rd Steering Committee Meeting in November 2008 Austria and Norway provided the auditors for the 2008 and 2009 Financial Statements. On the 19th and 20th October 2009 the first part of the audit took place at the PLANELM building.

The audit team was headed by Colonel Franz Enz from the Austrian Ministry of Defence with Lieutenant Colonel Per Tollak Tollaksen from Norway as junior auditor. The audit team was assisted in the audit by SHIRBRIG Finance Controller, Chief Warrant Officer Hans Henrik Larsen, and SHIRBRIG Quartermaster, Sergeant 1st Class Benjamin Klint.

The audit was carried out in accordance with the Steering Committee instructions from 2003 and the INTOSAI rules on good international auditing and once again showed a healthy financial situation in SHIRBRIG. The audit team expressed their appreciation for the correct and transparent statement.

Since the 2009 audit will be the last audit it was arranged to conduct an electronic follow-up in the beginning of 2010 to ensure that all areas has been covered.
